CHERRY CREEK REPUBLICAN WOMEN (CCRW)
STANDING RULES – 2025
Note: Standing Rules contain items that may change.
Standing Rules for Membership Meetings:
1. CCRW will not meet during the months of June and July.
2. Non-Republican persons or parties shall not be afforded a platform at CCRW meetings, projects, or events, unless the invited speaker is presenting information requested by CCRW members, as approved by the CCRW Board, and will be identified as a “guest speaker.”
3. Attendees who wish to make an announcement at a CCRW luncheon will need permission, in advance, from the CCRW President.
4. A Republican candidate wishing to address the luncheon may do so by signing in at registration, at the time of the luncheon, and informing the CCRW President prior to the meeting.
a. No person, including a campaign surrogate, may speak on behalf of a candidate.
b. A candidate may pay for a luncheon, or leave after speaking at no charge.
c. A candidate may address attendees, initially, for a 2-minute time period.
d. If a candidate chooses to speak at a subsequent luncheon, s/he may address that luncheon for 1 minute.
e. A timekeeper will be appointed, by the CCRW President.
5. The CCRW sound system will be used exclusively for CCRW meetings, fundraisers, and events specifically hosted by CCRW. CCRW equipment will not be loaned out to others.
Standing Rules for the CCRW Hospitality Chairman regarding Membership Meetings
1. All persons attending a CCRW luncheon, except for candidates speaking only, will be required to pay for a lunch, regardless of whether they wish to eat or not.
2. If a reservation is made by an individual who is then unable to attend, that person will be required to pay the cost of the missed luncheon.
a. A reservation may be canceled without penalty before the final attendee count has been submitted. Once the final count has been submitted (one week prior to the luncheon) payment is required.
b. A paid reservation may be transferred to another person.
c. A payment reminder notice will be sent by the Hospitality Chairman within 1 week of the missed luncheon. Follow-up notifications may be sent.
3. If a cancellation occurs, a “walk-in” can fill that spot, after paying for the luncheon. Whether a “walk-in” is seated at a CCRW luncheon will be determined by the CCRW Hospitality Chairman.
Standing Rules for the CCRW Website, Directory, and Events:
1. All entries for the CCRW Website must be approved by the President.
2. The CCRW Directory is provided for the sole use of CCRW business.
3. The CCRW Special Events’ Chairman is responsible for conducting at least one fundraising event per calendar year.
Standing Rules concerning the representation of CCRW in the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) and Colorado Federation of Republican Women (CFRW):
1. Note: Only registered Republicans may be Regular Members, Associate Members, or Life Associate Members of CCRW.
2. Annual dues payable to CCRW shall be in the amount of $40 for Regular Members (with $20.00 going to NFRW and $10.00 going to CFRW); $15 for Associate Members, including Republican Men; and $100 for Life Associate Members.
3. CCRW shall pay the registration, meals, and room for the CCRW President (or CCRW President’s designated representative/delegate) attending the CFRW Board of Directors’ Meeting.
4. CCRW shall pay the registration fee for the CCRW President (or the CCRW President’s designated representative/delegate) attending the NFRW Biennial National Convention.
5. CCRW shall pay the registration, meals, and room for the CCRW President (or the CCRW President’s designated representative/delegate) attending the Annual CFRW Convention.
6. CCRW shall reimburse the registration fees for elected CCRW delegates and alternates attending the CFRW Annual Convention.
